While we have worked very hard to make Helios the best product that we possibly can, there are some known issues/limitations of the product you should know about.
Below is a list of things you should consider when evaluating Helios.
[eliteaccordion][elitetoggle title=”Ceto Ocean”]There is an issue with using the Ceto asset where the ocean does not appear in the full panorama of the Helios 360 Frustum. We have an open ticket with them about this and will update this page once there is a resolution.
Ceto Rendering Error
[eliteaccordion][elitetoggle title=”Tenkoku Sky”]There is an issue with the Tenkoku sky asset where the Camera Fog script will cause a doubling of the spherical effect of Helios. This is due to the way in which the fog script in Tenkoku calculates is view angle and uses a CubeMap projection on each render pass. We have spoken with them about this, and presently have no work around for using their Fog camera script, however there are may other Unity fog systems out there which do work with Helios. Since about Unity 5.3.5 the Camera in Unity has become very picky about what it will capture for Render Textures. Specifically, things like UI Canvas, Billboard renderers and some particles are just simply ignored by the camera when capturing a CubeMap. There are plenty of open tickets on the Unity Support page for this, but as of right now, this is a known issue.
